Are these under Copyright Law?

The simple answer is no. There is no copyright notice in the yearbooks (No word or symbol).

I consulted with Judy Russell, the Legal Genealogist, and this is what she told me:
"From a purely copyright perspective, something published in the US without a copyright notice before 1977 is in the public domain.

Does it cost to request a PDF of a yearbook? How do I get a copy?

No. There is no cost to you whatsoever. You just email me and let me know which yearbook you want a PDF of.

Are all the pages of the yearbooks scanned?

Yes, but only the pages that had graduate pictures are on this site. There are other pictures of Commanders, Sergeants, Instructors, etc. (with names) and there are also random pictures of the soldiers (no names). If you wish to look at the whole book, request a PDF copy.

How can I help?

  1. Monetary donations can help acquire more yearbooks from Antique Stores, Garage Sales, Ebay, etc.

  2. If you have a yearbook that you do not want anymore, you can mail it to me to be included on this site.

  3. If you want to include your yearbook, but do not want to give up your copy, you can take pictures of the pages and email them to me.

What will you do with the yearbooks once they are scanned?

I have not decided yet. As of right now, they will remain with me. If there comes a time when I can not house these books, I will consider donating them to a library, historical society, museum, etc.
